Introduction

PBT223 series is a UART programmable DC-DC synchronous buck module.
➢ PBT223-FIXED: supports constant voltage (CV) mode only
➢ PBT223-ADJ: supports 12-bit digital control, constant voltage (CV), constant power (CP) mode

  • Vin = 3.8 – 30V
  • Vout = 0.8 – 22V (fixed & adjustable output)
  • Iout = 0 – 3A
  • UART control: read & write
  • EEPROM: read and write data
  • Protections: UVLO, OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP, ESD, short circuit, input/output reverse polarity protection

  • 12-bit DAC mode: By adjusting a 12-bit digital signal from 0-4095, Vout can be linearly adjusted from 0.8 to 22V
  • CV Mode: MCU monitors Vout in real-time and uses a PID algorithm to automatically adjust to the target Vout within 2 seconds.
  • CP Mode: MCU monitors Vout and Iout in real-time, calculates the real-time Pout, and uses a PID algorithm to automatically adjust to the target Pout within 2 seconds
